Heartbox Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Heartbox app ("Heartbox", "we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who may use Heartbox

You must be an adult (at least the age of majority where you live) to use Heartbox and to make any purchase. Heartbox is intended for a parent or guardian to create stories for a child.

2. What Heartbox does

Heartbox generates personalized, illustrated bedtime stories from the hero details and story ideas you provide. Each book is created and saved on your device, and you can export a PDF for your own personal use.

3. AI-generated content

Stories and illustrations are created by artificial intelligence and are works of fiction. Each generation is unique, results vary, and content may occasionally contain inaccuracies or details that differ from your input. Heartbox is for entertainment and a calming bedtime routine; it is not advice of any kind. Every story passes an automated safety and readability check, but you are responsible for reviewing content for your child. Do not enter story ideas that are unsuitable for a young child; the app may decline requests that fail its safety checks.

4. Your content and license

The hero details and story ideas you enter remain yours. The books you create are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may read, keep, and export them for your family; you may not resell them or use them commercially. Heartbox, its name, design, and software remain our property.

5. Free books, credits, and subscriptions

6. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, and refunds are handled under their respective policies. Please contact the relevant app store for refund requests.

7. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to bypass its safety checks or purchase controls, or use it to create content that is unlawful or harmful. We may limit or end access that violates these terms.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Heartbox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law and contact
